A Surpless, Dunn & Co. company · Founded 1889
A new division of a company that has helped businesses sell since 1889.
Terramand is a division of Surpless, Dunn & Co. — a fifth-generation, family-owned manufacturers’ representative and stocking distributor founded in 1889, with more than 130 years of helping manufacturers and distributors sell. Terramand, formed in 2026, applies that same standard to independent businesses: do the work, report the real numbers, and stay accountable for the result.

What we fix
Three problems that cost independent businesses customers.
Most growth problems aren't a lack of demand. They're demand that goes unanswered, unfollowed, or unmeasured.
01
Missed opportunities
Customers who are ready to buy can't find you, or find you and don't reach out. Search listings, a website, and reviews that don't work together leave demand on the table.
02
Inconsistent follow-up
Inquiries wait. Quotes go out and nobody checks back. Past customers who would buy again never hear from you. Follow-up depends on someone remembering on a busy week.
03
Unclear return on marketing spend
Money goes out to several vendors and nobody can say which dollar produced a customer. Reports show clicks and impressions, not sales.
How a partnership works
Diagnose. Implement. Improve.
Every engagement runs in this order, and each phase ends with something you can hold in your hands.
Phase 1
Diagnose
We look before we build. A structured review of how customers find you, how inquiries are handled, and what your marketing is actually returning — then a plan sequenced around your capacity.
What you receive
- A written assessment of your marketing, lead follow-up, and reporting
- A prioritized 30/60/90-day plan with the fixes in order
- An agreed set of numbers we will report against
Phase 2
Implement
We build and launch what the plan calls for — website, tracking, CRM configuration, follow-up sequences, and the first campaigns — in the order that pays back fastest.
What you receive
- The foundation the plan specified, built or repaired and in your name
- Follow-up and tracking configured during onboarding, then verified together
- The first campaign live, with a named person accountable for it
Phase 3
Improve
Once the work is live, we report on it honestly, fix what the numbers say to fix, and grow the parts that are paying back — on a standing monthly cadence.
What you receive
- A monthly report and review conversation on the numbers we agreed to
- Ongoing fixes to pages, offers, follow-up, and spend based on what the data shows
- An updated plan as the business grows into its next stage

What the diagnostic hands you.
A written assessment across 13 categories, weighted by revenue impact, with the gaps in priority order. This is the first thing every engagement produces.

Growth score
46/100
Scores are weighted by revenue impact, not by effort. A 20 in lead response costs more than a 20 in social posting — the report says so, in dollars.

The first ninety days
What happens, and what we need from you.
A partnership has two sides. Here is the standard first quarter — the specifics get set in your plan.
Days 1–30
Diagnose
What we do
- Review your website, listings, reviews, ad accounts, and CRM across 13 categories
- Talk with your team about how inquiries are handled today
- Deliver the written assessment and the prioritized 30/60/90-day plan
What we need from you
- Read-only access to the accounts you already have (website, ad accounts, CRM, analytics)
- One point of contact who can answer questions and make decisions
- Roughly two hours of your team's time across the month
Days 31–60
Implement
What we do
- Build or repair the foundation the plan calls for — site, tracking, CRM configuration
- Set up follow-up sequences and review requests, then test them with you
- Launch the first-priority channel with tracking in place
What we need from you
- Approvals on copy, creative, and offers within an agreed number of business days
- Business details we can't know without you — services, service area, pricing rules
- Access to the accounts we configure, in your name
Days 61–90
Improve
What we do
- Deliver the first monthly report on the numbers we agreed to
- Fix what the numbers say to fix — pages, offers, follow-up, spend
- Review the plan with you and set the next quarter's priorities
What we need from you
- Thirty minutes for the monthly review conversation
- Sales outcomes we can't see from the outside — which inquiries became customers
- Honest feedback on what your team can absorb next
Timelines are the standard sequence, not a guarantee. Approval turnaround and access timing are agreed at kickoff and written into your plan.

Common questions
Before you reach out
A single-channel engagement — ads, or SEO, or social — rarely has visibility into your sales process or whether the inquiries it generates become customers. Terramand starts with a review of your whole funnel, ties every recommendation to cost per new customer, and builds the channel mix around what your team can actually deliver. One team is accountable for the marketing, the follow-up, and the reporting together.
Yes. Your website, your ad accounts, your CRM data, and your content are yours from day one. Our access is granted by you and scoped to the work. If you ever decide to stop working with us, everything stays in your name.
It depends on where you are starting and which fixes come first. Some things — inquiry response time, review requests, a broken form — can show movement within weeks. Competitive local search rankings or a full sales-process overhaul typically take a few months to show their full effect. We give you a realistic, category-by-category timeline in the diagnostic rather than a single number that is true for nobody.
The diagnostic is a standalone engagement with no ongoing commitment attached. If you move into a full engagement afterward, we scope terms that make sense for the work involved. We would rather earn renewal on results than hold you to a long contract.
